Connecting your Roost Smart Home device is easy, but you do need to pay attention to a few details.
Most people are able to connect Roost devices successfully after a few tries, so don't worry if your device does not connect on the first try! If at first you don't succeed, before you try again, please:
- Make sure the position of the device with respect to your phone speaker is optimal (not applicable if you have a Roost battery with foam packaging)
- Remove your phone case (not applicable if you have a Roost battery with foam packaging)
- Verify your Wi-Fi network password and that you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz band of your Wi-Fi network

Second Generation Roost Smart Leak Detector Setup Video
Please make sure the LED on your Roost Smart Water Leak and Freeze Detector is blinking green at the start of the setup process! If the LED is not blinking green, before you begin the setup process you will need to reset your leak detector.
