If you receive a notice that your Smart Battery missed a check-in and had a critical battery at its last check you have two issues to address, but first, you must replace your battery's power unit.
Shortly after the battery reaches a critical power level it will stop checking in with the Roost Cloud. This is by design so that the battery can preserve power for your smoke or smoke/CO alarm.
If your battery is still under warranty, please contact Roost Support.
If your battery is older, please order a replacement power pack for your battery from our store.
After you receive your new battery, you should be able to connect it to your existing Smart Module, or if Roost sent you a complete battery, please set up this battery to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. The battery should begin checking in again.
