We do not recommend using Roost batteries in Kidde i12060 or FireX Kidde i4618 alarms.
While the Roost Smart Battery works in most smoke and combined smoke/CO alarms that use a common 9V battery (this includes both 9V battery-powered alarms as well as AC-powered (hardwired) alarms with 9V battery backup), we have discovered compatibility issues with our batteries and the following alarms (see table below). If you are located in the United States and your alarms are not certified to UL or ETL standards we cannot warrant the Roost Smart Battery in your alarm. If your alarm is on this list, you may want to consider replacing it, especially if it is older than 10 years old. Please see our Help Center Article: When should I replace my smoke alarm?
You can tell if you have a Version 2 battery because the Roost logo on the bottom of the battery is white.

Please note that we do not offer any warranty for Roost batteries used in smoke or combined smoke/CO alarms older than 10 years based on the manufacturing date on the alarm. If an alarm has no manufacturing date, we cannot warrant the use of the Roost Smart Battery in this alarm.
